Please note: If you make a PayPal payment, you still need to send an email to Registration with your preregistration information.
Madrigal has a yearly membership fee which lasts until December 31st of each year. No person will be allowed to play events at Madrigal unless they are a member.
We have been having a problem with new players showing up during events and wishing to participate. Because we cannot hope to orient these players to the subtleties of the game as either player characters or staff while the event is in full swing, we must require new players to attend the beginning of the event. In addition, we urge new players to register beforehand so we may arrange for them to receive a proper orientation. Players who have not participated before who turn up after the event has started without prior notice to the staff will be turned away. All new players must attend orientation at the start of game.
Adventure Weekends run from Friday at 10PM to Sunday at 2PM. Players remain in-game for the entire time. Our goal is to make Adventure Weekends rich in plot and roleplaying opportunites. Adventure Weekends cost $70 if registered for in advance:
At the current campsite, meal services are available during Adventure Weekends, and may be paid for ahead of time or at check-in - please note that the camp staff cannot accept payment for meals during meal times:
Adventure Nights run weeknights from 7PM to midnight. Adventure Nights provide a forum for players to get extra time to play the game at a more comfortable pace than many weekend plotlines might allow. Adventure Nights are designed to be low-key opportunities for roleplaying, but Shadowfane is a dangerous place and it is always possible you will find unexpected or even unwanted adventure. Please note that no Character Points are earned at Adventure Nights - these events are just for fun.
Preregistration
Players may register for any scheduled Madrigal event.
Preregistration is handled via email, and as a courtesy to our players we will also accept snail-mail and phone registrations. We cannot take immediate payment on phone transactions yet, so any player who abuses this privilege by registering and not showing up for the event will be denied this privilege in the future. We will require payment up front from these players.
Phone and email registrations require that you follow up with a payment within a week (either by check, or by the PayPal links above), or you should make other arrangements with the staff. Registration information must include your real name, mailing address, and optionally phone number and email. If you are attending as a player character, your character name is also required. Registration requires a membership.

The owner will be available Monday nights from 7:30PM to 11PM Eastern, but may also be available during reasonable evening hours (7:30PM to 11PM ET) on other nights. Please note that we cannot guarantee registration from phone messages.
Why should players preregister?
There is already high demand for Madrigal events, so preregistration is important to avoid being locked out of a full Madrigal event. In addition, players who preregister allow us more time to target their characters with plot. We will have more time to consider your character histories, your summary letters, and the summary letters of our staff characters. Also, preregistering allows us to get an accurate headcount going into the event, to let the camp know how much food to make. New player contact is madrigal@accelerantgames.com.
Why should staff players preregister?
Preregistering as a staff player is also important. If we are not sure whether you will attend, we cannot plan roles for you and we cannot guarantee that you will be able to play your favorite recurring staff roles. Also, preregistering allows us to get an accurate headcount of staff, to let the camp know how much food to make - remember, we pay for staff dinner on Saturday night!
